Frequently Asked Questions

Here we will post your questions and answers that you have.

Q: What's the youngest age IBD will allow?
A: We allow children as young as 5, but they must be capable of being able to "sit" in a class well; basically it depends on their maturity level.

Q: Is IBD accredited?
A: No, IBD is not an accredited school/business and we do not hand out diplomas. However, we do give each child who finishes the course a certificate award.

Q: What is enrichment education?
A: We define enrichment by enhancing, or improving upon the level of education that is currently provided by the public school system.

Q: Does IBD hold classes in more then one location?
A: We do have more than one location. Before a class begins that is on the schedule labeled TBD we will announce its location.

Q: Are your courses structured on a Pass/Fail system?
A: No, there is no PASS or FAIL with our enrichment education. Our main goal is to expose young and developing minds to the subject matter at hand, i.e. the sciences, manners, or economics. We want to emphasize there is no pressure to pass a course, but to simply come have fun while learning concepts that most upper grades in public school will not get to until later.

Q: Is IBD a Christian, or Religious School?
A: No, IBD is a business for profit in enrichment education mainly, but not limited to, the sciences. We do not teach the Bible. We welcome all homeschooled children of religious and non-religious alike.

Q: Does IBD hold classes for public school children?
A: Due to the time constraints is usually difficult, but not impossible to provide our enrichment course to PSC. However, our summer courses are a great opportunity for participation. If enough interest is there we can modify the courses dates/times in the future, i.e. offer a chemistry course in the summer on a short 10 day period. Please contact us if interested.
